New Mexico County Withdraws from Mexican Wolf Agreement

On March 27, 2012, Sierra County, New Mexico withdrew from a memorandum of understanding (MOU) among federal agencies and several counties, state agencies, and tribal governments in New Mexico and Arizona that had banded together to reintroduce Mexican gray wolves (Canis lupus baileyi) into the Southwest.

Mule killed by wolves in New Mexico, wolf pack out of control
